Vive Le Tour! (de wine).

It's that exciting time of year again when we get to drink 'Le Tour', with the 2025 ride moving through some beautiful vineyard areas, including Chinon in the central Loire, the southern Rhône, Normandy (Cider? Yes! well... Sidre), the Jura, Languedoc in the far south and, this year, you get a bottle of Champagne (Grand Cru!)

Starting with Stage 6 on the 10th of July, packs are very limited this year so get in quick:

-Stage 6, Normandie
Eric Bordelet Sidre 'Brut Tendre' - From possibly the most revered Cider producer in all of France, this is crisp and dry and full of green apple flavour, with a hint of minerality.

-Stage 9, Chinon
Chateau de Coulaine Chinon (Cabernet Franc) - From old vines, growing on their own (pre-phylloxera) roots, this is Cabernet Franc at its finest; cherry and blackberry with a silky-tannic finish.

-Stage 21, Champagne
Bonnaire Grand Cru 'Terroirs' - From some of the best-rated vineyards in Champagne, this has finesse and focus. 100% Chardonnay, aged in underground cellars and made in the traditional method.

-Stage 15, Languedoc-Roussillon
Rivage Blanc Coteaux de Narbonne - A smashing drink; crisp, easy white wine, made from Sauvignon and Ugni blanc in the Mediterranean climes of Southern France, near its border with Spain.

-Stage 17, Cotes du Rhone
Château Mont Redon Côtes du Rhône - A classic for very good reason. A benchmark wine for all of the Southern Rhône valley; ripe cherry and red fruits, spice and a mouth-filling, soft finish.

-Stage 20, Jura
Domaine Maire & Fils Savagnin - Far from the oxidative styles this region and variety are known for, this is a crisp, fresh white, redolent with peach and citrus character, a lovely drink everyone will love.
