After 20 years in the wine industry, Dan Banks founded Viticole as a means to offer his ‘insider’ wine selections to everyone, rather than just his friends and family. From restaurants and bars, Dan worked for a few years at Australia’s largest wine retailer, serving on the national tasting panel as well as in store. He then had a long career as a wine rep, working for importers and distributors, selling wine to restaurants and retailers as well as consulting on wine lists.

Dan’s work has taken him to wine regions throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand and given him access to some of the finest minds in wine. Access which grants him regular tasting and education opportunities. The wines that stand out the most from all of these experiences are the ones that become part of the Viticole range, first being offered as seasonal packs and then filtering in to the Wine Shop.

Viticole delivers Australia wide, via courier, straight from Dan’s office, where he personally attaches his own tasting note to every bottle and lovingly packages them in hand-stamped boxes.
