2024 Bannockburn ‘1314’ Pinot Noir, Geelong Vic
LIGHT | DRY | CHERRY - The 1314 range is made from estate vineyards in a ‘nouveau’ style. 25% whole bunch & a portion of carbonic maceration. Matured in 20% new hogshead barrels. A hint of liquorice over cherry and a lick of spice.
Garagiste ‘Le Stagiaire’ Pinot Noir, Mornington Vic
MED | DRY | CHERRY - With fruit from Merricks North and Balnarring, this wine has a distinct savoury quality. Ferments in concrete and stainless steel with whole berries and 15% whole-bunch. Vibrant freshness, juicy weight and soft round tannins.
2023 Mount Macleod Pinot Noir, Gippsland Vic
LIGHT | DRY | CHERRY - From Leongatha, famed for its Pinot Noir vineyards (eg Bass Phillip), the fruit for this vintage was destemmed and aged in seasoned French oak barriques for malolactic fermentation and elevage on light lees. Ripe cherry, cranberry and fine tannins.
2022 François Labet Pinot Noir, Corsica France
LIGHT | DRY | SPICE - Produced by François Labet of Clos de Vougeot, this vineyard is on the east coast of Corsica's Haute-Corse, 400-metres altitude. Fully destemmed and aged in two-thirds tank and one-third in French oak. Spice, blue fruits, earthy notes and a savoury finish.
Lethbridge ‘The JD’ Pinot Noir, Henty Vic
FULL | DRY | BRAMBLE - From Dr Maree Collis and Dr Ray Nadeson’s Henty vineyard in Southern Victoria. A lovely whiff of whole bunch character with hints of smoke, dark spice and liquorice. Red fruit and rhubarb finish silky and balanced, with low-medium tannin.
2023 Murdoch Hill Pinot Noir, Adelaide Hills SA
MED | DRY | CHERRY - Family farmed since 1939 in Oakbank in the Adelaide Hills. Selection from multiple vineyards in the region, classic strawberry and cherry fruits, a small percentage of whole bunch fermentation provides spice and structure.
