Everything you need for your New Year celebrations, two Sparkling, big Rosé, White and Red:
Champagne Larmandier-Bernier Premier Cru - FULL | DRY | COMPLEX - 100% Côte des Blancs Chardonnay. ’Longitude’ refers to the vertical nature of the vineyard locations, the resulting wine is a racy, focussed style, finishing long and fine. 2020 base wine, disgorged Nov 2022.
2020 Mitchell Harris ‘Sabre’ Sparkling, Victoria Aus - MEDIUM | DRY | CITRUS - 65% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, this is Mitchell Harris’ flagship wine – given John Harris’ former work at Domaine Chandon as chief winemaker, a Champagne level experience with peach and cream, underpinned by fresh citrus.
Magnum Jules Rosé, Provence France - LIGHT | DRY | STRAWBERRY - Hugh and Jane Faulkner founded their vineyard in the Masif des Maures, in 1989. Their eldest son Julian eventually took over and established the Jules label. Pure Provence style; strawberries and cream & aromatic herb freshness. Best vintage to date.
2022 Murdoch Estate ‘Tilbury’ Chardonnay, Adelaide Hills SA - MED | DRY | PEACH -From vineyards in Lenswood and Picadilly, aged in 40% new French Oak Barrels, the Tilbury has tight and precise acidity, compact structure, and some bold length. Scents of fresh lime, white flowers, with an crisp minerality.
2023 TarraWarra Estate Pinot Noir, Yarra Valley Vic - FULL | DRY | CHERRY - A fantastic vintage from this Yarra Valley institution. At the fuller end of the Pinot spectrum, Initially nicely perfumed, there are aromas of dark fruits, charred barrels and a hint of eucalypt. The palate is lightly resinous, with hints of spice.
